VKC team visits KN Energies: open dialogue and a focus on good governance
Yesterday, the Governance Coordination Centre team visited the Lithuanian energy company AB “KN Energies” in Klaipėda. This was another in a series of meetings aimed at gaining a closer understanding of the activities of state-owned enterprises (SOEs) and strengthening mutual cooperation. We discussed the specific nature of KN Energies’ operations, its strategic directions and current developments, as well as governance issues of importance to both sides.
The visit also included an introduction to the Klaipėda LNG terminal, providing an opportunity to see first-hand how one of the key elements of Lithuania’s energy independence operates. Such meetings not only help us better understand the company’s activities but also create space for open dialogue, sharing experience, and exploring ways to strengthen SOE governance together.
