On December 30th, 2003 Telšiai County Municipalities – Telšiai, Plungė, Mažeikiai Districts and Rietavas Municipality have established UAB Telšių Regional Waste Management Center, the main function of which is to implement and operate a regional waste management system covering waste collection, transportation, processing and disposal throughout the municipality.
