Governance Coordination Center representatives visited the company ‘Toksika’
On September 3rd, representatives of the Governance Coordination Center (GCC) visited the licensed hazardous waste management company ‘Toksika,’ where they met with the company’s top executives and board members. They had the opportunity to learn about the company’s activities up close and in person.
‘Toksika’ serves as a good example for the entire state-owned enterprise (SOE) sector, as it has remained among the governance leaders for several years and consistently receives top scores in the good governance index.
As noted by VKC director Vidas Danielius, such meeting formats are beneficial, as they further strengthen the cooperation between VKC and state-owned enterprises (SOEs).
VKC representatives have been organizing visits to various SOEs for several years, which is valuable for both VKC and the companies, as it provides an opportunity to engage in face-to-face discussions.
We thank ‘Toksika’ for the warm welcome. The pursuit of the highest standards in SOE governance is gaining momentum, and we hope that such meetings will help companies achieve their strategic goals and objectives with even greater ambition in the future.
