Representatives of the Governance Coordination Centre met with the management of ‘Kelių priežiūra’
On May 8, representatives of the Governance Coordination Centre (GCC) visited the Lithuanian Road Museum, where they met with the management of the state-owned company Kelių priežiūra, which is responsible for maintaining national roads, and learned about the history of the country’s road infrastructure.
During the visit, Kelių priežiūra CEO Dr. Audrius Vaitkus gave a detailed presentation on the company’s operations. He shared insights into the company’s current activities and its upcoming plans.
The museum’s director, Rimantas Zagrebajev, led the tour of the Road Museum and introduced visitors to exhibits and stories illustrating how the road network, road construction and maintenance technologies, and the road worker’s profession have evolved over the centuries.
“We hope that such visits will become more frequent in the future, as their benefits are immense. These in-person meetings with representatives of state-owned enterprises (SOEs) not only allow us to better understand the work of SOEs up close but also help build sustainable dialogue, strengthen trust, and promote cooperation, openness, and transparency,” said VKC Director Vidas Danielius.
We thank the leaders of Kelių priežiūra and the Lithuanian Road Museum for the warm and productive reception!
